Hi!
I just pulled my CF from the garage. Got a new PS3 remote (last didn't work).
So... Downloaded a new VM 0.5.
Hardware: Macbook Pro i7 2011.
VirtualBox newest version.
Loaded up VM 0.5.
Installed the updates.
Open CF Client software, plugged in CrazyRadio - Went to top menu > USB and select crazyradio - Done, works!
Connect to CF and I can see it's accelerometer moving around perfectly.
The failing part which I cannot get past:
Connect PS3 control (USB) to laptop; Top Menu > USB = Sony PS3 remote is GREYED out and I cannot get it to connect to VirtualBox.
This is my last stumbling block - I've had this since April but never had a flight (well, partially. I had it hover until it wiped out into a wall [different computer])
Has anyone had this or passed it?
My little CF has sat stagnant for too long.
VirtualBox cannot grab the PS3 control but not issue with CrazyRadio.
Remote shows, but is grey and not selectable.
I have also tried to install OSX CF client - This did not work due to some reason (brew error or pygame maybe).
I don't have a windows ISO to make a Win VM.
If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Bitcraze VM v0.5 - Cannot connect PS3 remote - OSX Host
Hi,
Apparently OSX claim the gamepad which prevents Virtualbox from using it. To fix that you can go in the virtual machine settings, in tabs Ports/USB and click on the + button to add the gamepad in the list (the gamepad has to be plugged in). Make sure that the Checkbox in from of the gamepad is checked and close the settings. You should now be able to unplug and plug the gamepad and it will automatically be taken by the virtual machine, before OSX have time to get it.
As for windows VM it would not help anyway: this is a host-side problem and windows is not working easily with PS3 controllers.
Also as a note: do not update the virtual machine, updated ubuntu broke support of the ps3 controller.
Hope it works,
/Arnaud
