More powerful motors

Post by r0b0tn1k »

I see that there are there are a few more powerful motors out there.

But I'm confused as I the default motors dont have CCW / CW markings on them, while the 7mm motors on the internet have those.

If I get motors like this, will the CrazyFlie be able to work with them?

Are there any specific motors you would recommend?

Are there any specific props you would recommend?

I used https://www.amazon.com/BETAFPV-19000KV- ... way&sr=8-3 with the stock Crazyflie propellers before. The motors are much more powerful (~2.6 thrust-to-weight ratio rather than 1.5), but they also tend to burn out after a while. The connectors are identical, but you'll need to swap the polarity of the black/white motors for it to spin in the correct direction. Works very well for more aggressive flight maneuvers.

Will a stronger motor be able to carry more weight?

Or is replacing with a stronger motor mostly for faster speed?
