Improper behavior of motors

The motors on CF 2.0 do not behave properly upon giving the thrust command using cfclient. M2 constantly operates at 100% whereas M4 drops down to very low voltage. This causes the CF to start spinning in mid air and hence unexpected results when I try to use it with the Optitrack motion capture system.
Any suggestions ?

I'm experiencing something similar, except randomly motors shut down (one or two) at a time after 5 seconds. I made sure I turned CF 2.0 on flat ground. Self test passes. This start occurring after connecting to boot loader and updating firmware. I was flying a week normally with IPhone app with NO motor failure until I installed it on my computer and updated firmware. Could this possibly be a firmware issue? Should I report this somewhere or am I missing something? Anyways, Merry Christmas Everyone! I look forward to learning more...

This is strange behavior indeed and could be a software issue. I don't think it is the 2016.11 firmware though as that has been tested for a while now but maybe an issue between cfclient communication and cf2. Could you please try flying with the app instead and see if you experience the same behavior. It could also be an issue with the sensor.

Yes, It definitely happens with the app as well. My next step is to detach the the motors and re attach them. If you can think of something else to try or need anything, let me know. I also tried another battery in case there was a leak, but different motors still failed upon thrust. It feels like it's a power issue, because there is no consistency. Can firmware change the way power is distrubuted?

This can be perfectly normal behavior as the regulation tries to move the CF2 into commanded position.

Have you double checked your setup, right propellers on right motor and propeller facing the right way? Also check the propellers are spinning in the right direction.
