Re: Start-up Sound on the Bolt

The reason is that you are probably are using external brushless ESC? These are the ones that are playing the startup sound in that case. I'm not sure if it is possible to change this for the ESC in a simple way.

Re: To.tobias : Question about "Measuring propeller RPM: Part 1”

Hi!

I will try to remember :-)

1. Yes you can use Carbon Film resistor instead

2. Yes

3. To verify the output from the sensor. That it detects the spinning propeller and that the signal looks good.

Re: Adoption of the DWM3000 module.

We also just got a notice that Mouser shipped us DWM3000 modules so no need to ship us any but many thanks for the offer to do so.

I don't think we will have time to work on it before X-mas but we will try to have a look at it beginning of next year. Hopefully it is not to much work!

Re: Is one battery enough for BigQuad?

You don't have to use ESCs with a built in BEC but I suggest you to do so since it will lead to some complications. 1. If the CF battery runs out 2. You have to handle and charge two batteries 3. The BigQuad deck requires power (from a 5V pin) to the pull-up resistors on the motor signal lines to fu...

Re: Is one battery enough for BigQuad?

What type of ESC do you use and what ESC signal protocol do you use (PWM, OneShot125)? I think it is definitely possible to do but it will require changing the code so the zero throttle is at 50% ESC output signal. The ESCs must be configured for the same.

Re: Is one battery enough for BigQuad?

No currently there is no support for inverted flight. It might even require an implementation of the DSHOT protocol to work with e.g. BLHeli_S and that might not be possible for the BigQuad. Not sure if there are DMA channels available for the motor timer outputs. Sorry, many uncertainties here that...

Re: ai flight control

Adding to this there is and ongoing work to port the dronet to the AI-deck, which was originally written for the pulp-shield. This is a very advanced demo application though which should hopefully be ported in the beginning of next year.

Re: Crazyflie 2.1 - BMI088 FIFO

The CF2.1 firmware reads from the data registers using the bosch provided driver/lib bmi088_get_gyro_data and bmi088_get_accel_data.
