Hi all,

I saw this blog post from October 2014:

How about that FPV board you mentioned there?
Is there any progress?

Thanks in advance!
Moe

I just bought this and used some hot glue and soldering iron magic to attach it to my nano.

Awesome! Could you provide a sample video and maybe a picture of what you have done?
I'm a little bit concerned about the noise that comes from the brushed motors..
Did you use an extra battery for this?

I don't have a way to record video, unfortunately. Video quality is about what you'd expect from a camera the size of a postage stamp. Certainly flyable, though. I wish it had a bit of a wider lens but that's about it.

It looks like this: http://imgur.com/R7xFfNn

No video noise, the switching noise from the motor PWM is nothing to worry about. Motors draw only a couple of amps total, remember that people are flying 250-size quads that draw dozens of amps at full throttle with no video noise.

I'm doing something similar to this - my main concern with running the camera off the same battery is the situation where the quad out lasts the camera. My camera is rated for 3.2v-4.2v. I've definitely seen the crazyflie telemetry spitting out measured voltages as low as 2.8v while still flying okay - is the telemetry reporting the same measurement I would see directly on the battery poles?

Analogy, any insights on your experience here?

As it turns out, my camera keeps working even when voltage is dropping considerably from the crazyflie's perspective. Woo!

I'm using this camera:
