No USB Devices Attached?

Hello,

I have installed Virtual Box and Virtual Machine (VM). Host and guest are both Windows. The problem I have is that my VM does not see my USB devices that are attached? I have a Xbox controller and CrazyRadio PA dongle which my host computer sees but my VM does not?

Whenever I try to get my VM to see the USB devices, I get a "busy" error. Is there anything I can try to do to fix this?

Thanks.

Hi BizziRick, welcome to the forum!

I don't run Windows or even VirtualBox for that matter but usually a problem like this happens when the host (Windows) isn't releasing a USB device so the guest (Linux VM) can take it over. See if these solutions work for you:

Thanks but I had no luck with those articles/posts.

Is Virtual Box/VM required to run the CrazyFlie client? Can I run CrazyFlie client directly on my Windows 7 host computer? I'd be more than happy to try that out.

I'm just trying to follow the instructions to get the right software downloaded so I can start learning how to program this CrazyFlie. I can fly CrazyFlie with the iOS app but it is hard to control and so I'm looking forward to more "fine tune" flying control.

Thanks.

You sure can! Have a look at the instructions here on Github.
