Using the an SPI Camera to stream FPV Video

Hello all.
I have just ordered my first Crazyflie and should get it in the next few days.
I have been looking into adding a camera to my little quadrcopte, and i have seen a number of sugestions for this from striping down a key chain camera to fitting a full camera plus transmitter.

My question is has anyone tried using an SPI camera and using the crazyflie's in built radio to stream video back to your PC ?

If the hardware is capable of this i.e. the radio is capable for sending video data, surly this would provide a better more integrated, and lighter solution? as there would be no extra battery sd card or transmitter.

There was a master thesis based on this idea a while back: http://liu.diva-portal.org/smash/record ... swid=-2382. Overall it didn't work out as well as the simple solution with the key chain cameras.
