Yes it looks very compatible and the differences are minimal. Should work just fine.

THANK YOU, it worked.

After two days of playing with cf, I had the dim led problems, after week or two I've found this solution.
...And it took me another year to gather parts and some courage :)

I have started with replacing the power regulator, which has been enough. I've used simple 30W soldering iron, no fancy station with temp stabiliser, just swtiching it on and off. Pin by pin I've managed to soften the tin and desolder the old regulator with help of small screwdriver, removing (and by the way destroying) regulator legs. Had some trouble with board, wasn't careful enough and had two soldering points delicately twisted, although I've managed to reposition them (and hopefully, they have worked). After applying a little tin to soldering points, I have placed the new chip on place, and pushed leg by leg onto the board.

It worked, thank you once again :)

Now my biggest trouble is that my old Logitech cordless rumblepad doesn't work with windows 8, but that's a completely different story :)
