Timing and delay measurements

Hey guys,
has anyone ever done experiments with regard to timing?

How much time elapses between commander.send_setpoint(r,p,y,t) and the flie processing that request?
How much time elapses between the flie timestamp of a log entry and the time it gets picked up in the logger?

What would be the best way to sync the flie clock and the client clock?

Ive seen some numbers flying around with regard to some usb related latency, but cant remember where I saw them

Thoughts / ideas / discussion would be nice!

Have you checked the master thesis from a while back. If I recall correctly they did some calculations and measurements.
