Block too large

Post by doddz »

Hi all,

Has anyone experienced this error before?

Essentially it seems to occur when I'm playing with the Logging configurations. My main gripe is I don't have a clear cut way to recover from this error as I get disconnected from the CrazyFlie. Any reconnections follow the same pattern despite restarting. Even reflashing firmware didn't help which leads me to believe it could be the client trying to setup the logging for the UI upon connection without the current logging configs getting properly flushed.

Hi,

Could you try to update to the latest Crazyflie firmware 2014.01.0? This should fix the error you are seeing.

Just to provide some feedback on this. I updated to the new version and haven't had the problem since! Nice job

I have the same problem. It often gives this error together with a few others like 'Error while starting log config [altHold]: No more memory available'. It's not only for motors and altHold, but also for the other parameters. It occurs both when I connect the crazyfly and when I try to plot a set of parameters.
After installing the software on another laptop (windows 8) we got the same problem.

Updating to the latest firmware 2014.01.0 didn't work for me. Is there any other solution to this? Can it be some kind of configuration error?

Did you also update to the latest version of the client? We have seen this problem before, but we thought it was fixed with the latest firmware/client release.

I'm sorry Marcus, this was completely my fault. I tried to flash the newest firmware, but only used the bigger Program button under the right block in the bootloader. So I never flashed the actual firmware, only pushed the settings on the right to the crazyflie.

Used the correct button this time and now it works like a charm.

I am experiencing the same error. Whenever i try to connect the Crazyflie I get the error: "Error when starting log config [Motors]: Block too large". Very frustrating, ive tried VM 0.4, VM 0.5 Ive updated everything by clicking the "Update all" icon on the desktop. However, I can connect the flie just fine using the VM 0.4 on my Macbook, now, using a PC with Windows it doesnt work. Any ideas?

Well, now it don't work on the Macbook either. I guess there's something wrong with the communication between the antenna and radio? It worked earlier today and I have treated the parts carefully!
