[SOLVED] ps3 controller input device recognized but no input

I'm having an issue with the crazyflie-pc-client. I have a PS3 controller connected with on usb to my pc. It is visible in the menu (Input Device > Device > Sony PLAYSTATION(R)3 Controller). However if I try to configure it in the Input Device Configuration dialog it is not responding to any input from the controller. Same goes if I connect to the crazyflie and jiggle the joysticks, no response.

I run the application on Linux (kernel 3.2.0-41), Python 2.7.3, Pygame 1.9.1. The application runs as root to make sure it has nothing to do with permissions.

I've also tried it on my laptop running Arch Linux, same results. Did I miss an essential step somewhere?

Any ideas on what the issue might be, or how to debug is greatly appreciated.

Could you try to press the round "Playstation button" in the middle of the controller after you have plugged it in and then try again?

Well, that's embarrassing... Could have tried that one myself. Configuration is working, gonna give the flying a shot tomorrow.
