Hi,

Is it mandatory to use a JTAG adapter/debugger to program the AI deck? Can I program the AI deck without using it?

While the AIdeck is still in early release, yes, a jtag enabled debugger is absolutely necessary. In the future we would look into easier updating of the gap8 chip, but that will take a while before that happens.
