on/off button broken
During a crazyflie dogfight, a prop of the other quadcopter hit my quad in an unfortunate way, completely breaking off the tiny on/off switch. Now I can't switch the quad on anymore :o I might be able to with a small pin or something, but I haven't found one yet. 2014-05-12 01.35.27_cropped.jpg Any ...

Joystick instead of controller
I couldn't find much people talking about flying the crazyflie with a flightsimultator-style joystick, even though to me it seems like a cool way to fly. I was just wondering if anyone has tried this and if it is works well, before I buy one. If so, what brand and type of joystick are you using? Is ...

Re: Yaw increase/decrease
I guess that would be possible. I would add two button options to the controller config screen. When pressing one button, send the max yaw angle value to the quadcopter. Make it a negative value for the second button, to rotate the other way.

Re: Flipping
Ok, I removed the old video and made a new one. Also tried some double and tripples, but that didn't work out very well yet :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LnlYRWUVIqs Still had no time to work on a smarter flip feature using the sensors. Will attempt that soon. That combined with a mini state ma...

Re: Flipping
The flipping is just beautiful! So the path is fully controlled from the computer? It might be the fist step to a rough path following functionality :D. Is it OK if we share the video? It is currently set as unlisted. No its much more simple than that. I setup the A button to override the throttle ...

Re: Flipping
Def cool! It would be awesome to fully automate it, eg using "enough" vertical acceleration (and assuming one was flying smoothly/hovering before) to trigger the right behaviour. How accurate is the attitude estimate during the flip? I'm not sure yet. I'm now finishing up a basic flip pur...

Re: Flipping
For anyone who also finds this cool, here is a short video showing some flips... made on a typical Friday afternoon at the office :D https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vtkUCm8bWCg Very easy to implement and quite fun and reliable! All flips in the clip are performed after each other; I didn't have to c...

Re: Flipping
Just dusting off an old topic here: Is anyone still attempting this? Or has programmed this? I also just started testing with flipping and got some promising results after just one evening of editing the pc client (even though it was my first day programming in python). I think the crazyflie can do ...

Re: Uncontrolable when battery is almost empty
How do I measure the VCC voltage? I'm a software developer, but don't know much about hardware and electronics yet :) But it seems like a a possibility, though the battery status in the client seems to be accurate. 300ms and 500ms timeouts seem to work well for me, since I'm flying quite aggressivel...

Re: Block too large
I'm sorry Marcus, this was completely my fault. I tried to flash the newest firmware, but only used the bigger Program button under the right block in the bootloader. So I never flashed the actual firmware, only pushed the settings on the right to the crazyflie. Used the correct button this time and...
