[SOLVED]Charging Issue

Hi Guys,
after a first (successful) selftest of the lipo (motors were running), i wanted to charge the lipo via usb.
My LED's on status connected are : Blue steady lid, red is blinking at 1 HZ, and green is steady.
If i now connect via Crazyflie PC CLient the LEDs change to : Blue steady lid, red still blinking (alive), and green now blinks.
Do i have to connect with Crazyflie PC client to beginn charging the lipo?
The Green blinking LEd wont turn into a steady Green Lid. I waited for abot 30-40 minutes. the Blink rate of green wont change. its constant at about 2 hz.
The selftest of the lipo in unconnected mode by pushing the ON button wont work anymore.
Greetings

Hello,
You can read here what the LED indication means:

In your case, I guess the battery was already charged.

You can also connect to it with the cfclient to have a look at the battery indicator. The battery should be close to 4.2V when fully charged.

The battery indicator shows an empty bar. I think i need a new lipo.

Does the Crazyflie work when running it from the battery? Have you connected to the Crazyflie? If you have you should get flight data information as well.

At first Crazyflie did work while running it from the battery. After i had flashed the firmware via bootloader, i tested the motors. everything worked . i connected to CF Client to check if my controller worked. It did. After a few seconds of Thrust i lost connection to the CF because of too many packets lost.
now CF does work while connected via USB. i get the position of CF in CF Client. Without USB and powered by battery, CF wont start. No signals, and no motor test after pushing the ON Button. So i assume that i got a problem with my lipo.

I had the same problems with two new CF's. I just tried the new beta firmware update and both are working normally. Here's the link

Good luck

If you have access to a mulitmeter measure the battery voltage an report what you get. If the battery has been discharged to much it will cut-off and must be pre-charged before it can be normally charged again. This takes a while so try charging it for a couple of hours.

i charged the lipo with 100 mA. At 4.2V i reached the limit. 50 mAh were charged, so about 1/ 3 of lipo capacity. tried to power CF via recharged lipo and it doesnt work. I will buy 3 new lipos. I hope its not a problem with the CF board.

OK then it sounds like it was the LiPo that was the problem.
