Hi,
I have installed the latest software (cfclient) under ubuntu like described here:
http://wiki.bitcraze.se/projects:crazyf ... ls:install
The cfclient seems to work, except, the playstation 3 controller is not working (connected by USB to the host). Under
Input Device->Devices
I can choose the controller ("Playstation(R)3 Controller"), but I can not configure it. The GUI also does not show any reaction to the inputs of the controller.
dmesg gives the following:
[ 3956.008076] usb 7-2: new full-speed USB device number 4 using uhci_hcd
[ 3956.219108] usb 7-2: New USB device found, idVendor=054c, idProduct=0268
[ 3956.219121] usb 7-2: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=0

There is not a single reaction of the Playstation Controller. What could be wrong?
Playstation 3 Controller under Ubuntu
Re: Playstation 3 Controller under Ubuntu
I forgot to mention, that I am talking about the software of the crazyflie.
Re: Playstation 3 Controller under Ubuntu
Have you tried pressing the "PS" button on the controller?
Re: Playstation 3 Controller under Ubuntu
That does sound pretty odd - over USB, my controller worked out-of-the-box. When you say you can't configure the controller, what exactly is happening? Can you get to the configuration screen? If you can, what happens when you click on the Configure and Detect buttons in the configuration screen? Have you pressed the PS button on the controller once you've opened the client?
Sorry to ask basic questions - just trying to work out where the problem might lie

Re: Playstation 3 Controller under Ubuntu
You can try installing jstest-gtk from the Ubuntu software center and test your joystick in for possible problems.
