[SOLVED] Battery won't power crazyfile?

Hi,
When I plug either battery into the crazyflie, it doesn't power up (no LEDs light up). If powered by USB (with or without a battery), the LEDs light up and I can connect to the CF via the crazyradio. However, if i have just the battery then it appears to be dead.
When I first plugged in both the battery and the USB, it appeared to charge the battery (green LED flashed slowly and then eventually became steady after awhile). I've confirmed that the battery has a voltage of about 4.14 and with the battery connected, I also confirmed that the + and - solder points for the battery on the reverse side of the board have the same voltage (no USB connected at the time) so I think the board should be getting power. However the voltage between VCC & DGND is 0 with the battery (with the USB it is 3.28).
Does anyone have any troubleshooting tips?
Thanks!
David
