Signal wire shorting maybe not, but I will check all my connections again.

I checked the two Bolt's end they basically had the same problem. The STM32 was burnt and one of the mosfets that switch on the power to the ESC. My analyses it that the Bolt couldn't handle the current from the ESC and that is what burnt the mosfet. I don't really know why the STM32 broke though but perhaps when the mosfet died the motor was still spinning and acting as a generator. This could have caused a voltage spike which was induced to the motor signal pin. That is my best guess at least.

The Bolts are now fixed but I don't think they can handle your setup. A workaround is to not connect the power to the ESCs though the Bolt but power them directly from the battery. Either though soldering the wires directly or a PDB. In parallel connect the battery to the Bolt to power it. Connect only the signal (middle) cable from the ESC connector to the ESCs.
