Big Quad Deck

Post by newcuriousstudent »

Hi!

So my friends and are are setting up the big quad deck to work on a larger drone.
We modified the firmware of the crazyflie just like the required steps:
https://www.bitcraze.io/products/bigquad-deck/

The drone connects to the the motor controls and the motor. The motor controllers do not beep just like when they are connected. So from what I can assume is it is actually connected.
It arms but the motor does not turn when the program to the crazyflie should make the drones turn.
Here is a video of the data from the oscilloscope from the crazyflie to the motor controller.
I think the PWM signal stops outputting?

My friend took a video for me.
The moment the signal changes in that video is the moment that the the drone arms.

Would anyone know why?

It looks a bit strange. The ESC will not arm until the CF has calibrated. Could this be the issue maybe?

Hello!
Thank you for your response!
How can I make sue the CF is calibrated?
If it is not calibrated how would I calibrate it?

Hi!

I tried it and it seems to be calibrated.
The drone's blinking sequence is correct, the heartbeat is there, the blue LEDS are on.
Is there anything else you think could be the issue?

Can you post the output from the cfclient->console, that could tell us something. Also you can change the motorPowerSet parameters to manually spin the motors and test them.
