Manual IMU Calibration

Post by DroneSpace21 »

If we wanted to do manually calibrate our Crazyflie IMU, how might we go about doing that?

What type of calibration do you want to do? Currently the only manual calibration that can be done is correcting the alignment of the accelerometer. Biases are automatically calibrated.

Hi, yeah I would like to calibrate the accelerometer and gyroscope. Can you give more detail on how the accelerometer can be calibrated?

The accelerator "miss alignment" can be calibrated by putting the CF2.1 on a level surface. Then in the cfclient note the roll and pitch values that are shown in the flight tab. Open the Connect -> Configure 2.X dialog and in there enter your roll and pitch trim values. Save and after a reboot the roll and pitch should be close to zero.
