I am very happy, for the first time I get a fix with my Ublox MAX8 installed on a Crazyflie.
The installation: a little bit rough, but it works. The energy was obtained with USB connection.
The fix was obtained rather quickly, 1 minute max.
Now, the result, obtained according to the console tab:

That means that there are 13 satellites in view, 6 GPS and 7 Glonass. Accuracy is not very good with a PDOP of 8.17. 4 satellites are active, these conclusions according to technical note "u-blox8-M8_ReceiverDescrProtSpec_(UBX-13003221)_Public".
I have to do some work on GPSTab because it did not get the fixing.

Having the MAX8 close to the CF2 does it effect the possibility to get a fix?

The GPS tab might need some shaping up indeed.

I made a new post on my first conclusions on the use of Ubox GPS-Glonass receiver.
The fix is obtained with receiver place at 2-3 cm from the board. But if I put the receiver side by side with cf board, the fix seems to disappear.

If I recall correctly we tried with a similar GPS breakout board and also experienced problems as soon as we come close to the CF2.

The main problem is the long delay to get a first fix (yesterday nearly half an hour). We should try to implement memorization of ephemerides. I am investigating this question.

This ublox module will probably have much better reception when put close to the CF2. Maybe someone has made a breakout board for it that could be tested on the CF2. Just a thought.
