Hi Bitcraze,
I plan to implement a 3d space reconstruction solution based on the crazyflie, which could be used in the expedition in the cave-like space(dark, unknown space underground. it's dangerous for people to on site check somewhere in the dark cave, send crazyflie instead to check the dark space basic size, and feedback the sensor data to crazyflie client for 3d reconstruction). there are many case could be used on the 3d space reconstruction based on different sensor, such as the ir-sfs with ir sensor, opencv with camera sensor, etc. i don't clear which one is the best choice(sample and meet the basic requirement of the cave exploration) base on crazyflie or is there some member have ever done some work in the bitcraze community. could you please give me some advice, thanks~ :)

maybe the general discussion page is not the focuses. I move the question to the development discussion page.

The only work I am aware of that comes close to 3D reconstruction was a master thesis by Oliver Dunkley: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYuhrNMYlfk. It was using the 1st Crazyflie and an FPV camera, all processing was done on the host computer.
