Loco Node DFU: Failed to enter idle state on abort

So I was following the steps in the video https://youtu.be/ZgH4bLZdq2A setting up loco positioning system.
When I did "sudo make dfu", it returns with error message "Failed to enter idle state on abort".
How do I fix this issue?
I am using BitcrazeVM on mac.

#UPDATE: problem disappeared. Not sure how it gets solved though.
