Hey -- curious what the average current draw from the cflie is when it's in flight -- (a static hover indoors). Does anyone have that measurement?

Thanks
Sean

Maybe this investigation we did can give some answers? To get 29 grams of thrust you draw around 2.2A current which means ~550mA per motor.

Or a 7min flight with a 240mAh battery gives about 3.7*0.24/7*60 = 7.6W for the whole system. Electronics is roughly 0.37W of that.

This post I made yesterday should probably help as well: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2207&p=11214#p11214

It does not cover motor draw (hint - a lot), but all the electronics are covered.

Thanks! I'm just doing some back of the envelope calculations for how much flight time I'd lose if I hook up a custom FPV deck I'm thinking of building -- 25-50mW tx with a micro-minumOSD. Probably would lose about 1 to 2 minutes of flight time. The OSD and the 5v step-up needed for it would probably take 500mA-750mA alone, so that might not be so practical...but perhaps I'll build it up anyway!
