[SOLVED] DWM1000 failure

Post by Che. »

Hi everyone,

it seems as my DWM1000 Deck has stopped working for some reason. I get these messages from the console:

Code: Select all

DECK_DRIVERS: Found 6 drivers
DECK_INFO: Found 1 deck memory.
DECK_CORE: 1 deck enumerated
DWM: Failed to configure DW1000!
AK8963: Self test [OK].
LPS25H: Self test [OK].
DWM: Error while initializing DWM1000
DECK_CORE: Deck 0 test [FAIL].
I already flashed a clean version of the current firmware to no avail.

This seems to be a hardware error, how can I check this and is there a way to fix it myself?
Thanks for your support.

Greets,
Che.

Hi Che,

The only thing checked at startup so far is the SPI connection so if you get this error it means that the driver cannot read the DWM1000 chip ID via SPI. If you have an oscilloscope you can check that the SPI bus is behaving the way it is supposed to.

Hi Arnaud,

I've just tested the DWM with our second CrazyFlie 2.0 and it works perfectly.
Thanks for your help, it seems like the other Flie is the problem, but I started another thread for that (for whom it may concern: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2001).
