If you have a 3-D printer, you can download the STL file from Thingiverse:

I created this based on a different model, and modified for the CF2. Note this will not fit the original CF. Printed on a Flashforge Creator Pro, 0.4mm nozzle diameter, BPA plastic. No z-axis protection, so fly carefully
Adds 5 grams of weight if printed with standard BPA (white).

Very nice design!
For z-axis protection it might be enough to make four "towers" sticking up at appropriate places?

Sure, I could. What we've found from buzzing a few CFs around at home and work, the z-axis isn't that important for protection. We frequently hit the ceiling, and there is no damage due to the light weight of the CF2.
But if enough people want some pillars on the frame, I can make it. Let me know!

This is great! I'm glad to see some community designed prop guards. It's just more incentive for me to buy a good 3D printer - which is to say it's more incentive for me to spend money I don't have on things I don't really "need" (but totally want)!

If you have a CF, you NEED a 3D-Printer. Don't ask me why, but your CF mojo improves drastically when you have one. You really NEED one

Perfect! I'm taking this to my wife. Perfect justification. There's no stopping me now. Thanks!
Out of curiosity, what printer do you use?

Flashforge Creator Pro.
My wife thinks it's "neat", but wants it to be somewhere else when it prints (cooling fans are noisy).
The cat sits in front of the glass and watches things get printed

Thanks! That's one of the ones on my list.
