Using desktopclient (cfclient) without crazyradio

Is it possible to use the desktopclient without the crazyradio dongle?
I'm using OS X on a macbook.

You currently cannot use the desktop client to connect Crazyflie without Crazyradio.

It is theoretically possible to use Bluetooth low energy from the Mac and the desktop client but it has not been developed yet.
