Roll/Pitch Issues with VM on OS X

Running OS X 10.6.8
Latest version of VirtualBox and Ubuntu VM.
PS3 controller (seen by VM with this sequence: 1. Start Ubuntu VM. 2. Connect controller, 3. Start cfclient)
Crazyflie went together well, starts up and passes self tests.
Problems are:
1. Kopter thrust and yaw work but roll and pitch don't seem to work.
2. Kopter takes off but always heads forward (+ pitch) and left (+ roll).
3. Roll/Pitch control seem to do very little and roll/pitch trim values seem to do nothing.
4. No data from kopter displayed in cfclient.

Has kind of seemed to work sometimes. Hovered a couple times for 10 seconds. Very cool.

Hi,

When you change roll/pitch on the PS3 gamepad do you see any output in the cfclient UI (you don't need to fly for this)? If you are using normal mode you should be able to go to +/-30 on both axis. If you get the full range of output in the UI but the Crazyflie is still not controllable then check the motors/propellers.

Thanks Marcus.

Pitch and roll values do change in the UI when the game pad is changed.

I've checked the motors and they seem fine. Swapped propellers from front to back and left to right. No change in problem.

Replaced right motor mount; it seemed to have a slight tilt in the forward direction but didn't change problem.

I'll try the extra set of spare propellers and report what happens.

Thanks. Craig.

Did you have time to test with the spare propellers? What input-mapping are you using? Do you have any hair or dirt wrapped around the axis of the motor?
