[SOLVED] Crazyflie 2.0, won't take off at full thrust

anyone having issues not being able to lift off? i recieved my first crazyflie tonight. I got it assembled and connected thru the PA radio using my android phone. very cool!

I went to take off, got it up to full thrust, but its not enough power to lift off. I wonder if the battery just needs to be charged? I also overrode the controls to get 100% thrust in 'advanced' mode on the android app. this did make more noise, but not liftoff.

I do know that the blades are pushing air downwards - i'm not that dumb i hope...

anyone else having problems getting it up? ;)

I tried this morning with a 100% battery and had the same result. It won't lift-off. I have checked and re-checked the mounting of the propellers, its right for sure.

a full battery didn't make much difference at all.

I live at about 1670 meters altitude, maybe the air is too thin here?

I took a closer look at the propeller blades. they are not symmetric. It matters that the ring molded into the plastic is pointing upwards.

I had the props in the right locations in terms of cw, ccw, but i had each one on upside down.

good to go now! its a little challenging to fly / doesn't auto hover well yet. I adjusted the trim settings and it improved.

at any rate - turned out to be the prop installation. i don't recall the directions noting about the ring on the molded plastic.

all the best to anyone else who's new...
