Self-test spins, green lights connected, still no flying (Crazyflie 2.0)

I can't seem to get my Crazyflie 2.0 to work. I have tried Win7 and Win10 using CF client and VMO image, as well as both Android and iOS apps via Bluetooth and PA.

Using Bluetooth on my Nexus 5, 6, and 10 I can connect - green lights indicate success, but the joystick doesn't move the blades
Using OTG with Crazyflie PA, same green lights, 100 signal strength, no moving blades
Using VMO I can successfully connect PA driver but not the Xbox wireless controller USB drivers
Using Win7 and Win10 I can successfully connect the Xbox wireless controller and successfully install the PA driver but CF client doesn't recognize my PA driver: WARNING:cflib.crtp.usbdriver:Exception while scanning for Crazyflie USB: No backend available

M4 green blinking lights should mean everything is talking to each other (i think) but the only time i can see the blades move is when i power it on and it runs the self test.

I'm out of options to test and am starting to think it's the board but flashing LEDs and spinning blades make me think it's something I did.

Any suggestions would be appreciated for help with CF Client recognizing PA, VMO image recognizing xbox drivers, or Bluetooth or PA on Android.

So my self test failed. I get teh M1 light blinking five times and repeating after all four blades spin. Is there a firmware upgrade to fix this or is it permanently screwed?

Can you use the python client to connect to the Crazyflie? If so, you can use the console tab to take a look at the output. That would help diagnose the problem. Also, when you turn it on, make sure it is flat and stable so that the self-tests are undisturbed. If the Crazyflie is jostled around too much during the self-test, some tests might fail.
