unreliable

I've almost given up on the crazyfilie v2.
I use the downloaded linux VM
(Fusion on a macbook pro with heaps of ram, SSD & CPU (so have allocated the VM 2 processes & 4 gig ram)
Keep Linux up to date as well as run the crazyfilie update script
Use a PS3 mode 2 (but same thing happens mode 1)
Basically, the PS3 controller (which is new) worked for some time.
(the PS3 seems only to work when 4 LEDs on it are all flashing --- not sure how it gets out of that situation of 4 LEDs --- It also doesn't want to find the PS3 once it plays up unless I shut down he client and disconnect the PS3 and radio)
I think with some updates, the PS3 gradually became unreliable. (seem to reverse joystick controls with one update)
The current issue is it just looses communication and doesn't want to communicate with the client.
(nothing happens on any of the joystick boxes or bar graphs)
When it is working, the quadcopter mostly is unstable. It forever wants to fly off in any direction with nothing but the motor accelerating.
You have to start it and immediately try to compensate it darting off in a direction.
Lately the radio link is starting just dropping.
I've given up as it's just a pain to use. The commercial nano ones are much more reliable
