altHold freq in firmware only 100Hz

Post by razvanlupu »

Hi,

Why is the frequency of the altHold algorithm from firmware set to 100Hz? What happens if I want to increase the frequency? It will behave better or worse? I am trying to do a trick like throwing the Crazyflie in the air and showing how it stays at that altitude... Thank you very much!

Hi,

You can read the value faster, but the sensor will not be able to actually measure faster.

There was a pull request for this very functionality by forum member fredgrat. I believe it was merged in this commit on the master branch. Here's the thread about it.

3x Crazyflie 2.0 + Qi Charger and LED Decks.
