What is the maximum input voltage I can give the Crazyflie2

Post by akbarhash »

I want to run a bigger setup with a 2s battery(7.4V) and have ESC which will give 5v out. Do I need a 3.3v Step Down or can I give 5v.

The VUSB input on the CF2 can handle up to 5.5V so that should be OK.

We did a hack for the Crazyflie 1.0 which you can read about here. It could be done very similar with the CF2. Please share your suggested setup and we can probably tell how feasible it is.

I do know the VUSB can handle 5.5V but that will leave me second guessing battery life. What can the board handle? I am willing to get a 3.3V step down hardly affects the overall weight. I will put up my build when its closer to finalised.

Hi, So I bought this. I think it will do the job. I will leave this here for future reference. http://www.ebay.com/itm/281417180879. Does both the 3.3V to 5V conversion and Supplies 3.3V to Crazyflie2.0
