Crazyfile motor not working

Hello! I was assembling the crazyflie. Even though all four motors were activated, it never took off. I realized the propellers were upside down, and I switched three right side up. One was especially stubborn, and I couldn't get it off. I ended up taking the wires off the motor instead. I pulled the soldered wires off and I fixed a new motor on, but I had difficulty soldering. When I ran the test, that motor (motor four) wasn't working. I soldered a bit more to make sure there were no loose connections and it still didn't work.

Thanks.

It sounds like there might be a solder bridge somewhere... Can you post a close-up picture of the solder connections for further diagnosis?

Hi Chad!

Here's the image.

The problem is at motor four, the circuit has a lot of burns and the transistor to the right is burned a bit.

Thanks.

I just want to say, out of 45 people viewing this, THERE'S NO REPLIES!

I would rather hear my crazyflie is hopeless and get a new one than constantly wait on this form.

Thanks for the answers.

Hi lordofllamas,

The link to the photo is dead, maybe you can upload it to the forum?

It's working fine for me...

EDIT: I saved it and put it up here.

EDIT: The bottom one is motor 4, all the others work.

I'm guessing there is a short around M4 soldering. I would start by cleaning it up with a cotton swab and some alcohol (isopropyl, IPA, is often preferred). Then in this thread there are some posts about testing for shorts and such. Tell us how it goes.

Hello!
Thanks for a HELPFUL answer. Although, I think you tried to attach a link and it isn't working. I tried looking up the thing in the url and it didn't work. Can you re post it?
