Thanks for both of those tips, I'll keep an eye out for one of them. At the moment I think that unless I see one second-hand I'll wait and see how Crazyradio PPM input develops and then use that with a more widely-available controller. I'm already having tonnes of fun with my flie - just went for my first outdoors flight and was pretty impressed with stability even in a breeze.

I know it's solved, but here's a small hint. I can report the ESky EK0406G Transmitter as working.
