Hello,
maybe somebody can point me to the right log or something i can search for more details, but here is the problem:
Just flashed the crazyflie 1.0 with the newest firmware available and now it kind of restarts while flying, i hear the sound of the crazyflie checking the motors but the green light is off. Need to manually power it off and on again before i get a connection again.
Any Idea ?
Cheers
Marv
Crazyflie 1.0 restarts while flying
Re: Crazyflie 1.0 restarts while flying
Hi Marv,
Just a couple questions to help diagnosis...
What "latest" firmware did you use? The one from the Github release page (2015-08.1)? How did you flash: command-line using Crazyradio, or another method? How is your battery life? If you hold the CF down and increase thrust, is there a consistent point which is "restarts?" What is the sequence of events and the behavior at the "restart." Maybe we can figure out what's going on here!

Re: Crazyflie 1.0 restarts while flying
Hi Chad,
thanks for your help.
Yes that's the firmware i'm using and flashed it with the gui boot loader. The battery is still ok i guess, 79% max capacity of its origin if i should name a number.
No, the point of "restart" is random out of my view, but i just tested it with holding it down and recognized the following sequence:
1. cf lost connection
2. restarts
3. checks motors But only three of them turn and beep
4. red led flashes in normal speed and green led is off
I will try to reproduce that motor check failure with some test flights.
Cheers Marv

Re: Crazyflie 1.0 restarts while flying
Random guess, but how does the soldering look on the motors? There's no possibility of a solder bridge on one of the motors?Osile wrote:3. checks motors But only three of them turn and beep
