Quarz Capacitors

I was wondering why you used Capacitors to Ground on only the 16 Mhz Quartz for the NRF51822 and not for the 8Mhz Quartz. According to the Specsheet http://www.mouser.com/ds/2/281/p16e-522700.pdf the typical application also includes capacitors.

I will have to check with the designer to get a good answer on this. Unfortunately he is on vacation so it may take some time.

Thank you for your response. I just reread the Data sheet and I found out, that there are different types, of which some of them have already capacitors integrated and some not. THe one you used has built in:

Chip type CERALOCK(R) with built-in load capacitor
