Should all the motors spin in the same direction

Post by John J Burke »

I teach robotics in Arizona and my Robotic Club students purchased a Crazyflie Nano Copter with their club funds. The Nano Copter was working fine for weeks and all of a sudden started spinning in the air. All the motors are spinning in the same direction, not sure if motors 1 and 3 and motors 2 and 4 should be spinning in opposite directions for stabilization. Can anyone advise if the motors can be reset if need be. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Hi and welcome!

Are you sure the motors are spinning in the same directions? The direction is hard wired (configured by which polarity you solder the motor wires) so it is not possible for them to change direction without re-soldering the motor wires.
