[SOLVED]Battery connector on the CF broken

Hello,

I have broken the ground cable, and i don't know what can i do with the existing disconnect cable ..

The cable is little bit twisted

How i can connect this cable ? i can push the plastic ground on the pin ground, but he don't stay in place.

Do you have a soldering iron? You'll need to strip some of the insulation off the wire to expose the bare metal. Then, using a soldering iron, heat up the hole (where the remainder of the old wire is) and push the newly exposed wire through. Then it's just a matter of heating up the soldering pad and wire and adding a bit of solder to keep it there. Here's a link to a random tutorial I found via web search.

Yes i have an iron but i need a magnifying glass for doing this
I had needed a confirmation that i cannot do a mistake

no luck with a little crash on my tiles

If you try again, make sure you get the wire through the hole. It will help give it more mechanical strength. If you just tack it on the top of the broken piece, it likely won't hold too well (which could be what happened).

The other alternative is: don't crash. ;)

i have try again but now the cf have the M2 led stay on and the cf cannot be power on...

Look at the very bottom of your picture. The components (resistors?) have been bridged by solder... Components R23 and R18 at the bottom left of this picture (near M2 mount).

It's hard to tell, but possible that R21 is bridged to the ground cable as well...

If you can clean up the solder bridges it might still be OK.
