My quadcopter is running fine, as is my controller, and radio, but it takes restarting the application and trying to connect multiple times before it takes, and lets me control the copter. For some reason once I get it, it's fine, but I have to try a number of times to get it to work each time. I've tried USB 2.0 and 3.0 with no difference. Updated firmware, running most current software....sometimes I will get a string of error messages (talking about memory, and log issues) sometimes nothing. It seems to connect ok each time, but then the gyro won't respond on the app...the controller will always show it's working on the app as well, but the crazyflie won't respond (both the radio and copter each seem to show connection with the LEDs as well). Any ideas? Here is what I am using:
Windows 7
Logitech Extreme 3D Pro
Thanks for any help!
Issues With Connection
Re: Issues With Connection
Hi,
In older version there's been stability problems when connecting and starting the logging. The symptoms of this is that the flight tab data is not updated, but it's still possible to fly. Or even worse if the TOC is downloaded you might never switch from the "Conneting" state to the "Connected" state (i.e "Connect" button will only show "Cancel" and never show "Disconnect").
These issues should be fixed in the latest release of the client. Could you try to download and run this windows installer and see if it fixes your issues?

Re: Issues With Connection
Marcus,
Thank you for your response. I uninstalled everything, and tried the version you linked to (though I think it was the same I had before). Reinstalled the Logitech software, and re-mapped the controller. Controller still registers in the crazyflie software, radio seems to be transmitting, and copter is recognized right away...still the same issue though...no response from copter when I hit the throttle.

Re: Issues With Connection
Hi, do you get telemetry data? It might that the Crazyflie is unable to calibrate. If you power on the Crazyflie in your hand and then put it on a sable surface the red led should start blinking faster (2Hz instead of 1Hz). That indicates that it calibrated correctly. It wont take off if it is unable to calibrate so it can be that. If so we will have to try and trouble shoot why it doesn't.
Re: Issues With Connection
Thanks for all the help everyone...sorry for the delay in my response. Got it working! First of all, I wasn't aware the crazyflie needed to be laid flat each start-up to calibrate. I was always trying to launch it from my hand, so thanks for that tip....not sure how I missed that. Second was that my radio wasn't making a secure connection for some reason. I cleaned the contacts a bit, and it seems to be working well now however. Thanks again for all the help!
Re: Issues With Connection
Hello guys,
I am not sure if I have the same issue here. I always connect it on a flat surface; however a lot of messages pop up: 'Error when starting log config [AltHold]: no more memory available'; ''Error when starting log config [Baro]: no more memory available'; ''Error when starting log config [motors]: block too large'.
But I still can control it fine, and all the hardware seem to respond well; I am just wondering if the sensors are fine.
Anyone would have a guess?
Cheers

Re: Issues With Connection
It is a mismatch between the firmware and the cfclient software. Try updating to the latest firmware.
