When trying to configure the PS3 controller in the cfclient, it seems to work during the configuration process, but in the end it mixes up roll and pitch, and the pitch is dead, does nothing. I have configured the controller so it looks fine after the windows game controller calibration, but no luck in the cfclient configuration. Also, I can not save the config, even though the cflient claims it does, prompting a restart for changes to take effect.
Oh, by the way, during the config it looks like the thrust is inverted, but in the end it turns out right anyway. Confusing.
I'm a little bit hesitant to ask, since I've been posting some idiot questions, but this is the one thing between me and first actual flight. Everything else is working, the fly actually takes off, but it's difficult to controll it without pitch, and roll on the wrong axis.
Help.

Hi Peter,
With the PS3 controller you shouldn't need to configure the input, there are different mappings to choose from in the menu Input device->Mappings. Have a look at the bottom left of the window where it says what controller and configuration you are using. If you start up with the PS3 controller but for example have Xbox controller configured then some axis will be dead and some might do other things.
As for the configuration, what version of the client are you running? It's working in the latest version in the repo, but we are a bit overdue for a new release of a client..

Re: PS3 controller issues - roll/pitch mixed up
I'm running version 2013.4.1.
The different configurations popped up the first time, but after having tried the PS3_mode2 configuration it is no longer selectable. So I tried the PS2_<something>, and then that disappeared too. Now I'm left with the Generic_OS_X. That sticks around though. But it's no good.
No matter what is in the configuration menu, should I not be able to create a new configuration running this tool?
Perhaps the new release is around the corner?

Problem solved. Using the Bitcraze VM everything works. It might still be interesting though to know what the problem is with the Windows version of cfclient.
Now I just need to attach a small proximity sensor so I'll stop flying into things ...
