Image streamer implementation on the Cfclient ?

Post by lorenzolamberti »

Hello everyone !
I would like to drop a quick question about the image streamer application of the AI deck!

Will there be an integration of the image streamer into the cfclient GUI ? It would be so nice to have everything in one place :)
Thank you!
Cheers, Lorenzo

Hi!

We definitely have been thinking about this as well, but it will probably be one of the efforts of getting the AIdeck fully out of early access. Currently we are working on the first steps, which is the full communication framework between STM->Nina->gap8 and wireless flashing (these are still on private repositories but once we have a first version working, we will publish them of course) but getting an AI-deck tab in the Cfclient with images streaming and everything is definitely one of our next steps. It also might be that we will make a separate client for that, but that is part of an bigger discussion of what the Cfclient is currently used for :) Anyway, once we got all the back-end in place for this AIdeck tab (image streamer, wireless flashing, auto wifi setup), then we will start working on it.

It's similar to what we have done for the lighthouse positioning system. When it was still in early access, all the setup still was done from separate python scripts until we got all the elements in place in the cflib and the firmware that enabled us to make an good lighthouse tab. So that means, once we get working on the AIdeck tab in the cfclient, we are close to getting it out of early access, so definitely something to already look forward to :D
