Crazyflie crash at take-off with Loco

Post by Guarouba »

Hello,

We have purchased the Loco bundle explorer and we are having problems flying the drone. We have updated and configured the nodes. We placed the 8 nodes at least 15cm apart from wall and ceiling. The flight area is 1.78x1.78x1.91m. In the Loco positioning tab of the cfclient, everything seems to be correctly configured (green status, correct anchor positions). We checked the estimated position of the crazyflie and movement in the graphs correspond to the physical movements. However when using the Command Based Flight Control to take-off, the crazyflie takes-off and immediately run into the wall. Could this be related to a too small flight area?

Thanks in advance.

Hi!

The volume is (maybe too) small but I would expect it to (probably) work but provide a noisy position estimate.

Some questions:
* Which mode are you using (TWR or TDoA)?
* If you move the Crazyflie around in your hand, does the position look OK in the Loco tab in the client?
* Is the Crazyflie oriented in the correct direction at start (https://www.bitcraze.io/documentation/t ... -crazyflie)
