Trouble flashing firmware

I've tried many time to flash crazyradio firmware but i've this error:

i'm using lastes VM, sudo and changing usb port !

I had the same problem inside the VM. If I ran it several times it would eventually work, but I didn't trust it for flashing. I think it has something to do with the way vmware/virtuallbox virtualizes the USB bus, or how that interacts with the host drivers. I booted into a linux instance directly (as in a linux partition I have with a dualboot setup, instead of a VM) and it worked fine first try. Sorry if this doesn't help you.. maybe someone knows a way to flash it from windows directly?

really i've flashed the first time i've tried but i've flashed a default firmware there's into VM
later i've downloaded the latest firmware and then i cannot flash it again

Which firmware did you flash the first time? If you flash the binary from bitbucket download page there should not be any problems but if you compiled the firmware yourself you might be experiencing this bug: https://bitbucket.org/bitcraze/crazyrad ... oader-when

It is possible to flash the dongle with SPI. If you have a jtagKEY-compatible jtag dongle you can use nrfprog (in the crazyradio repos, http://wiki.bitcraze.se/projects:crazyr ... rogramming) to flash the dongle. I am working on getting the SPI flash to work with buspirate, raspbery-pi and, maybe, arduino so that the process is more accessible.

it's very complicated ! maybe it's more easy to buy a new crazy radio?
there's no way to reset to factory default ???

Just to check one thing. When you connect the Crazyradio do the red and green led turn off or are they constantly on? You might have managed to put the Crazyradio in bootloader mode.

when i connect Crazyradio, the red and green led flash on one sec then turn off!

I've been trying to get this to work and I get the same error... Not sure why since I'm fairly sure this has worked at some point, at least when using Windows as host OS. What host OS are you using? Linux, Windows or Mac OSX?

I've opened up a new bug for this so we can investigate it.
