Plastic case for the LPS Anchor

Post by Federico Rossi »

Hi,

We recently acquired a swarm bundle. We plan to 3D print a plastic case for every LPS anchor. Just wondering if there is any restriction on the case like for example not to block the LOS to the RF chip or the like. Best option is to encase the whole node but we are not sure if that will affect the signal needed by the drones. What is your recommendation on this matter?

Thanks,

Federico.-

The plastic will not absorb much of the RF signal but what is more important is to mount it away from material that does. Recommendation from Decawave is to keep the antenna away at least 15cm from such materials (metal, concrete etc.). And in the end I think trail and error testing will have to be applied.
