Crazyradio PA 13V input - boosting signal

Hey all, I've been using crazyradio pa for a while and was wondering how to boost the signal strength. The product description says you can use up to 13V input power via header. Does this boost transmission strength / range? If so can anyone give me some pointers on how to install this header and provide input power? I'm assuming I'll have to solder - which is fine.

Hi,
You can find the Crazyradio PA schematic there:
https://wiki.bitcraze.io/_media/project ... _rev.b.pdf. As you can see the power amplifier is powered using 3V3 voltage that comes from the voltage regulator U1. The reason we specify 13V input voltage is because U1 can accepts that high voltage to produce the 3.3V output voltage required by the rest of the electronic. That means that the output power is not dependent of the input voltage: the power amplifier will always be powered by 3.3V.
To boost the range you can try using the 250Kps datarate that increases the radio sensitivity.
