Crazyradio Dongle Will Not Attach to VM

I am trying to run the virtual machine for development, and when I attempt to attach the crazyradio to the virtual machine as instructed it says
"Failed to attach the USB device Bitcraze Crazyradio PA USB Dongle [0053] to the virtual machine BitcrazeVM.
USB device 'Bitcraze Crazyradio PA USB Dongle' with UUID {7981712f-3c17-4ef8-ae0f-9f913e2efc79} is busy with a previous request. Please try again later.
Result Code: E_INVALIDARG (0x80070057)

I can get the windows client to scan and connect, so I have the right drivers, why wont the VM play nice?
I haven't found anything like this other than one post on the oracle forums with no responses. Please help! I dont want to have to develop on windows!
