Crazyflie current draw

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knows how much is the current draw of the CF???

The datasheet says the battery has a capacity of 170mAh, then the battery has a continious discharge rate of 25C.

That means capacity * discharge rate = 4.25 A / 4 motors = 1.0625 A each motor max.

If we apply a safety factor of 80% = 850mA each motor max. Which is the same as the motor specifications.

I want to confirm this, the datasheet also has a burst rate of 50C, how do I know I am not using this rate??? Is there a protection to use 25C all the time??? What could be the max current draw we can get from the battery???

Thanks!!!

The PCM in the battery actually limits it, see the wiki. It is limited to about 4A continuous which ~25C as you calculated.

When the Crazyflie hovers it consumes around 1.5A in total and during bursts up to 4A.
