Mechanical design files

Post by hedgepig »

Hi,

A quick cursory search has indicated to me that you have chosen not to publish the PCB files (is this true?)

If so, is there any way to get a mechanical drawing file other than via measuring the Crazyflie I own (or printing the component placement file to scale)? At this point it is faster for me to have just measured the device, but I think that it would be quite helpful to others to publish an electronic version with physical dimensions (as well as how the various decks fit and occupy the space around the Crazyflie).

Thank you.

No, we do not publish the PCB files.

Unfortunately we do not have any good, up to date library of models or mechanical files. You can check out https://github.com/bitcraze/bitcraze-mechanics

You can also maybe use the outline of the component placement files, for instance https://wiki.bitcraze.io/_media/project ... cement.pdf

At this point we do not have the possibility to generate the mechanical files from our cad files, sorry. Any contributions are welcome though, if you decide to make your own models.
