Different engine configuration

We'd like to connect the Crazyflie to a helium balloon and set the motors to push the balloon in different directions.
The engines are physically set in new directions (2 to move forward/back, 1 to move up/down, 1 to move left/right).
This requires the ability to change the engine direction dynamically.
Can that been done with Crazyflie or do we need to add electronics on every engine output?
