Generate downward thrust

Hi,
I am wondering if I can control the motors rotate in opposite direction so that downard thrust can be generated. I used ROS to control the thrust by sending 0~65535 to throttle channel. I am wondering how to modift the firmward or ROS code so that I can send -65535-0 so that downward thrust can be generated. Thanks

Unfortunately, this is not possible (it's a hardware limitation).
